Overview
Over the last few seasons, color has been a key driver within collections, due in part to a need for optimism and positivity. A/W sees this mood continue, with a shift towards one-color, head-to-toe dressing as well as tonal applications.
Dusty Lilac
Shades of lilac evolve from S/S with a slightly dusted effect. Powdery hues with a cosmetic cast provide a warm, cozy feel, particularly when used in either casual or dressy sweaters. These new hues offer a heightened level of sweetness for A/W when applied to tailored jackets and trousers.

Yellow
Bright and fresh yellow is a key shade for all-over application. The solid color brings vibrancy.
Blue
From the palest sky blue to cobalt, classic shades of blue deliver an interesting level of sophistication in full tonal or mono-colored silhouettes. Associated with a sporty aesthetic, bright blue gains popularity in tailored suits and outerwear to provide modern appeal.
Catwalk Looks
Brights continue, but frosted mid-tones balance overly bold blues. Piercing cold blue levels are this season's key highlights with an almost phosphorescent intensity.
Kale
Green is a great color for trans-seasonal appeal, with an earthiness that works for winter, and a lightness that travels well into summer. The A/W 19/20 tone of green feels more natural and wholesome than previous seasons, with an almost rain-soaked depth. It also offers versatility, sitting on the cusp of the neutral/fashion color spectrum.
Bold Orange
A range of bold orange hues, from succulent shades of red-orange to tangerine and persimmon, emerge as standalone colors. No longer used purely for sports and outdoor silhouettes, these citrus hues are perfect for trans-seasonal warmth, exuding both an eye-catching and dynamic quality.

Neutral and Core Colors
The crossover of neutrals into fashion colors and vice versa is an important seasonal message. Pastels possess a maturity, feeling stripped-back and sophisticated.

Pink
Sophisticated levels of pink appear throughout many collections, in hues that vary from barely there light cosmetic tones, seen on feminine silk chiffon, to deep old-rose colors to underscore vintage appeal. The application of pink and white to reinvigorate classic checks is an interesting new direction.
Red
Red has emerged as a strong commercial success story recently, and A/W 19/20 will see its influence broaden to encompass a wider range of warm tones.
Black and White
The versatility of true neutrals is celebrated. Grays have more depth and nuance, moving towards flatter and purer levels with less inherent color.
